The Taliban killed Mursal Nabizada, a former representative of Kabul in the parliament, in a targeted assassination. Nabizada was shot dead in his home in Arzan Qimat area of Kabul 15 January 2023 and his brother was also injured in the attack. This is just one of the many recent targeted killings and mysterious murders that the Taliban has been committing throughout the country.
It’s worth mentioning that the brutality of the Taliban towards women is particularly heinous. The group has a history of oppressing and mistreating women, including denying them access to education and healthcare and subjecting them to forced marriage and domestic abuse. In addition, the group also often targets female politicians and activists, who are viewed as a threat to their oppressive ideology. The killing of Mursal Nabizada, a politician and a representative of Kabul, is yet another example of the group’s brutality.
