A group of young school students in the Paryan district of Panjshir Valley on 31 march 2021 did an environmental campaign to raise awareness about the importance of protecting nature. The campaign was aimed at both the local village people and those who come from the city of Kabul to the valley, as they noticed that many visitors were leaving plastic waste in the natural areas. The students recognized that this was not only harmful to the environment, but also to the health and well-being of the community.
The campaign was initiated with the help of the Panjshir province team, who organized seminars at the school to educate the students about the nature of the Panjshir Valley and the importance of environmental responsibility. The students were taught about the local flora and fauna, and the impact that pollution and waste can have on the natural ecosystem.
The students then formed a group of volunteers who worked together to clean a nearby river that was heavily polluted with plastic waste. They also made a video to raise awareness about the issue and encourage others to join their efforts. The video was widely shared on social media and received positive feedback from the local community.
In addition to the river clean-up, the student volunteers also organized a series of other activities, such as tree planting, to help preserve the natural beauty of the Panjshir Valley. They also educated local villagers and visitors about proper waste disposal, and the importance of using eco-friendly products.
The environmental campaign led by the students was a great success and made a positive impact on the local community. The students have shown that they have an important role in protecting nature and preserving the environment for future generations. The Panjshir province team is proud to have supported the students and will continue to support such initiatives that raise awareness about the importance of protecting the environment and preserving the natural beauty of the Panjshir Valley.
